FILM 15 APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME 2010  NEW

FILM 15 annually takes  fifteen young people [aged 14-19] to undertake an introduction to filmmaking. Those selected will work with the FILM 15 team to learn how to use a video camera, how to script a story, various production techniques and then use these new skills to develop and produce their own short films.

SUMMER SCARS- ACTING AND PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS

In the last week of August film 15 is set to welcome award winning horror film director JULIAN RICHARDS to Mid Wales to undertake a special Horror film production with 20 young people. Course is for 14+

SCREEN WRITING COURSE

This September, professional screen writer Barry Simner will be running 3 scriptwriting workshops for young people, aged 12 –18. The workshops will run in Machynlleth at Ysgol Bro Ddyfi on Saturday mornings from 10.00am to 1.00pm including one half hour break. The dates for the workshps are 12th, 19th, 26th September 2009. BARRY SIMNER has over twenty years experience writing TV drama. He has worked on many of our biggest shows including The Bill, The Vice, Midsomer Murders, Peak Practice and Holby City. He is currently writing new series for both ITV and BBC. ‘Single-Handed’, his series of three two-hour films set in Ireland, will be broadcast on ITV1 this August. FILM 15 @ Tywyn

FILM 15 Productions runs their FILM 15 appreticeship project annually to help young people find their creative voice through the medium of film. The Award winning programme offers fifteen young people aged between 13-19 from Mid Wales the opportunity to study filmmaking with the organisation over six months. The participants undertake weekly workshops, Master classes with industry professionals, technical training and are supported in the development and production of their own film ideas. The programme has been running since 2006 and has worked closely with 45 young people to make 24 short films. This years project is substatially funded by THE PETER SAUNDERS TRUST in association with The Film Agency For Wales. The project has already started for this year but if you are interested in registering your interest for next year please FILL IN THE APPLICATION FORM below. If you are a budding actor who thinks they would like to be cast in some of this years films, please register on the FILM 15 ACTING REGISTER.

SHORT ANIMATION COURSE FOR FAMILIES

An intensive weekend course will be running in association with the Welsh Language Action Group in Machynlleth in August. Eryl Jones from Griffilms will working with families to create short animations. Dates TBC. To express your interest please fill in the attached form.
